Baked Turkey Meatballs are a delicious lighter alternative to my Grandmother’s Italian meatballs . Baked in the oven instead of fried, they are the healthy turkey meatball recipe you’ve been looking for.

When looking for a good healthy turkey meatball, I immediately turned to my grandmother’s traditional Italian Meatball recipe. They are incredibly delicious. In this recipe, we are preserving the flavor but taking out both fat and calories by swapping ground beef and pork for ground turkey. You will love this lighter spin on a classic.
How to Make Turkey Meatballs
Here is a brief overview of how this baked turkey meatballs recipe comes together. For the full recipe, including the full list of simple ingredients and their measurements, scroll to the recipe card at the bottom of the post.
Combine Meatball Ingredients
Combine the ground turkey, egg, breadcrumbs , seasoning, and Parmesan in a large bowl. I like to use clean hands to mix everything together.

Scoop into Meatballs
Use a medium cookie scoop to scoop the turkey meat mixture into even-sized meatballs. Roll them and place them on a prepared baking sheet.

Bake the Meatballs
Bake the meatballs in a preheated oven for 15 minutes or until fully cooked. It’s a great idea to spray the foil with cooking spray before adding the meatballs.

Storing and Reheating Leftovers
Store any leftover ground turkey meatballs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the air fryer, microwave, or oven until heated through. Never reheat leftovers more than once. You could also use leftover meatballs to make a meatball sub .
You can also freeze these meatballs. Cook them all the way through and allow to cool. Place them on parchment or wax paper on a baking sheet and freeze for a few hours. Then transfer to a freezer-safe bag or container and store in the freezer for up to three months. When ready to eat, bake the meatballs in the oven until heated through, about 25 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or place in your slow cooker with some marinara sauce .

What to Serve with Turkey Meatballs
Serve these easy meatballs as an appetizer, main dish, or on top of spaghetti! Here are a few ideas to round out your meal:
- Pasta and homemade spaghetti sauce
- Chopped Salad
- Air Fryer Broccoli
- Garlic Bread
