WHAT ARE IRISH COFFEE SHOTS
Whether it is St. Patrick’s Day or the beginning of a fun weekend, I love a great Irish Coffee recipe . Something about the combination of Irish whiskey, brown sugar, and a little cream on top is absolute perfection.
Every once in a while though, you need something a little stronger. Just like an espresso is the stronger version of coffee, these Irish Coffee Shots are the zippy stronger little brother to the original Irish Coffee recipe.

INGREDIENTS FOR IRISH COFFEE SHOTS
You only need five ingredients to make these amazing little wonders.
Start with Irish Whiskey! I mean, can we even call it Irish Coffee if we use something else?
Next you need espresso. I think that instant coffee works really well in this, but if you already brew espresso at home, just use that.
You need brown sugar. This gives Irish Coffee it’s signature sweetness.
Finally you need some whipped cream to go on top. I used the stuff right out of the can for ease of popping it on top of these guys but you could go with homemade.

HOW TO MAKE IRISH COFFEE SHOTS AT HOME
Start by boiling four ounces of water and stirring in brown sugar and instant coffee. We are using less water than it normally calls for which will make it much stronger than regular coffee. You could also substitute with 4 ounces of homemade espresso.
Fill each shot glass half way with the espresso sugar mixture. Fill the shot glasses the rest of the way with Irish whiskey.
Finally top with whipped cream.
