I’m so excited to be working with TOSTITOS® to bring you this delicious recipe! Our family loves TOSTITOS®, and we always have a bag of their chips on hand.

I think most of you already know that one of my favorite types of food is Game Day Food. It truly is its own food category. This category is filled with delicious finger foods that you can make a meal out of.

Perhaps the king of all such food is nachos. Nachos are one of my very favorites. I loved ordering them when we went out, but they really are so incredibly easy to make at home.

This Sheet Pan Nacho recipe is perfect for a small get-together, but would work as a family dinner too. How fun to have your whole family gathered around this great nacho dish.

Nachos Start With The Perfect Chip

Any good nacho recipe must start with the perfect tortilla chip. It is the backbone of the recipe.

Our family loves TOSTITOS® Tortilla Chips so much, we always have a bag on hand in our pantry for taco night. (I will tell you a secret, but please don’t tell anyone: Sometimes I have a glass of wine and TOSTITOS® chips and salsa. And all is right with the world.)

The TOSTITOS® Hint of Lime Chips were the obvious choice for this recipe. Not only are their chips large and perfect for nachos, the lime flavor takes this nacho recipe over the top.

How to Make Easy Nachos

This recipe could not be more simple – exactly what you want for an easy appetizer or dinner.

  1. Cook the ground beef, breaking it up. Then drain the fat.
  2. Add in taco seasoning and tomato sauce. Allow it to simmer.
  3. Spread the taco meat over the chips, top with cheese, and put under the broiler for 2 minutes.
  4. Top with your favorite nacho toppings.

My littlest liked this recipe so much she looked at me and said: “I could eat these every single week.”

My oldest daughter said, “Mom. I love the lime in those chips!”

Shredding Your Own Cheese

For this recipe, I highly recommend buying block cheese and shredding it yourself. Actually, for all my recipes I recommend shredding your own cheese.

For years, I bought bagged shredded cheese because I thought it was such a time saver. Once I switched, I never looked back. You are saving 5 minutes at most, and it’s not worth it. Block cheese just melts a million times better.

Nacho Toppings

One of my favorite thing about taco night or nacho night is letting everyone top theirs the way they like. It’s like a magical solution to picky eaters and stress free dinners.

Here are some of our favorite toppings:

  • sliced olives
  • diced tomatoes
  • cilantro
  • jalapeños and pickled jalapeños
  • sour cream

Lining your baking sheet with aluminum foil is a personal choice. I personally don’t think it’s necessary.

You can use whatever cheese you like, just make sure you buy block cheese and shred it yourself. It melts so much better!

Absolutely! In my Taco Meat Recipe , I talk about replacing ground beef with ground turkey. You will just need to use a little cooking spray for the pan.
